For each district plan produced at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, our team of urban designers produced several compelling visual elements for the plan document. Images included 3D-modeled aerial views of existing and proposed conditions, realistic streetscape renders, and viewshed analyses. These digital drawings enable the viewer to better understand the proposed changes to a site, the spatial relationships between elements, and gain a human-scale understanding of how the space will feel in the future.

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Schreifer Group successfully held a virtual open house for the Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) Growth Coordination Plan. The design team created a 3D model of a showroom displaying the printed informational boards, then built an interactive website that allowed participants to explore the different elements through the room like they would in-person. Interactive elements also solicited public comments and feedback, informing continued development of the Plan.

Development of the Coast Fork Master Plan involved public outreach meetings across several geographically disperse communities during a time when public gatherings were restricted due to the pandemic.

To gather as much input as possible and accommodate those with varying schedules, health and mobility limitations, and people living in more rural areas, our team of planners facilitated a series of live mapping exercises over a virtual meeting platform. These group activities effectively gathered community feedback and allowed stakeholders to see their contributions to the study mapped out in real time.
